Abridged History:
But Ryan hasn't seen a playoff berth since. He finished 5-11 in 2009, the year with three quarterback starters. Injuries to Clinton Portis and Steve Smith didn't help, nor did a 220-point loss to Team Spinella as he made a final possible playoff push. 2010 saw a small improvement, going 6-9, but poor quarterback play plagued a roster chocked full of solid backs and receivers. 2011 was the worst campaign yet, and the poor roster fortune of having to keep Matt Schaub served as a precursor for what was yet to come.
Distraught over three-straight terrible campaigns, Ryan withdrew from the league and into isolation for several years. He trained, both physically and mentally, to ensure his performance never returned to such a low, knowing all along he'd one day make a glorious return to the league.
That return finally came in 2016, where Ryan inherited a team with the perfect keeper: Tom Brady. 2016 was a crazy year, with only 4 games separating the last-placed team with the first-placed team. Ryan found himself on the bottom-end of those standings, missing the playoffs once again and spoiling what he hoped would be a Bruce Wayne-esque return a la Batman Begins. Brady finished 14th in overall QB points, while his only top-30 running backs were Jay Ajyai and Devonta Freeman. But Hill's team was solid: he found a steal in Dak Prescott, and had three wide receivers and two tight ends finish in the top-ten in points at their position. The future could've been bright for Hill.
However, he made a giant blunder with his keepers in 2017, selecting Odell Beckham Jr. over the likes of Freeman, Brady or Ajyai. Beckham played in four contests that year, while Brady was a top-three QB once again. Between injuries to Beckham, constant in-and-out of the lineup performance from Ezekiel Elliott, and selecting Bilal Powell as his second running back, Ryan once again faltered in the regular season. He was able to secure two wins over his brother and rival, Austin Hill, while also ending in a controversial tie with Team Spinella, a contest whose controversy led to a rule change the following season.

Abridged History:
Tommy Poitras entered the league in 2016 after several years of resisting overtures to join his childhood best friends. Despite being the best football player of the group in high school and making the New Hampshire-Vermont All-Star Game, he knew his mental acuity regarding the game would cause him great embarrassment should he ever join the fantasy football league.
Poitras made his first blunder with keepers, selecting WR Antonio Brown as a keeper. Poitras wasn't left with much here, but took Brown while owning the first overall pick in the draft. With that glorious pick he selected LeSean McCoy, the lifeblood of his team. Poitras found great value from his quarterback play, getting good boosts from Derek Carr and Tyrod Taylor. He made the postseason in his inaugural season and knocked Team Spinella out in a major first-round upset before falling to Austin Chill in the championship.
Tommy looked to build on a fantastic start to his ownership in 2017. He kept Derek Carr, a promising young quarterback, and showed a lot of gained knowledge from his past mistakes. Poitras was unlucky to receive an early blow with a season-ending injury to RB Dalvin Cook (who would serve as his 2018 keeper) but had some solid pick-ups, including Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, a two-headed monster duo from New Orleans. Tommy finished the season 5-9 in a three-way tie for last place, scoring 600 fewer points than the season prior.
